Crafter M70E Mandolin and
Blue Moon Appalachian Dulcimer
A few years ago, I was keen to replace my rather tatty and damaged
mandolin I came across this Crafter in a Cambridge music shop and
was really
impressed with the quality and sound. I was even more impressed when
I saw what the price was.
It has a plastic back and is
slightly bigger than most mandolins. The sound is great and it
seems to cut through when playing in sessions.
I used to play the dulcimer in folk clubs and in the very early
days of Shave the Monkey. However, a hot sunny day and direct sunlight
son put a stop to that. It was only recently while shopping with
my daughter for an acoustic bass guitar I came across this dulcimer
and after a bit of impulse buying, I became the owner of this dulcimer.
